My Four Month Check-Up

Mommy and Daddy took me to a new doctor last Thursday for my 4 month check up. She was really nice and spent lots of time checking me over, moving my legs around, looking in my ears and shining a bright light in my eyes. She said that I looked just perfect and I smiled at her to say thanks. She stripped ALL my clothes off, took me into the hall and put me on a big scale. Mommy and Daddy were guessing how much I would weigh, but Mommy was closest. I was 13 pounds and 5 ounces! I have grown two whole inches since my 2 month check up and am now 25 inches long. Just wait, one of these days I am going to be taller than Mommy and Daddy even! After all the fun stuff was over, the nurse said it was time for my shots. We were really dreading this since the last time didn't go so well. This time instead of laying me on the table and holding my arms down, they let Daddy hold me in his lap. I didn't even see it coming and all of a sudden the nurse gave me 2 shots in each leg! OUCH! I cried out for a minute, because it took me by surprise and kind of hurt. I looked at Mommy and she had tears welling in her eyes too. As soon as the nurse was done with my shots, Mommy picked me up and I stopped crying. They were really proud of how good and brave I was this time. I'm such a tough guy! -Will-
