Merry Christmas!!

I just celebrated my very first Christmas. Mommy said that the reason we celebrate Christmas is because it is the day that baby Jesus was born. That is what makes this holiday the most special, she said. Granddaddy and Grand Momma gave me a nativity set a few weeks before Christmas so that we could have it set up for the holiday. It is so cool! I just love playing with it and baby Jesus and the dog are my favorites.

I was really excited for Christmas because we put up our tree a while back and Mommy and Daddy started buying lots of toys that I wasn't suppose to know about and hiding them in the closet. Our tree was so pretty and I still don't understand why all the shiny ornaments "aren't to be played with." They sure did look like fun to me! I also got to go to the mall and sit in Santa's lap. I can't talk yet, so I couldn't tell him exactly what I wanted, but I'm pretty sure Santa can read minds anyway.

So, after all of the preparations and anticipation, the holiday finally arrived. On Christmas Eve, we went down to Granddaddy and Grand Momma's house. My cousins, Emma, Abby and Tommy were there and we all got lots of cool presents and had a big time playing with each other.

When I woke up on Christmas morning, Mommy and Daddy said they had something to show me underneath the tree. They said that since I was a really good boy this past year, Santa had stopped by and brought me more gifts! You should have seen all the awesome gifts that Santa left under the tree for me! I just knew he could read my mind! I got a table that teaches me to count and say my ABCs, a bunch of blocks, a train, a giraffe and another table that has a piano on it and plays music. Plus, I had even more gifts to open from Mommy and Daddy, Grandpa and Grandma Cody, Grandpa and Grandma Milner and my aunt Steph. I got clothes, a tambourine and a book that makes bird sounds just like me.

Later that afternoon, we went down to visit my Grandma Howell. Can you believe that she had presents for me too!? She got me some clothes, a See and Say, some trucks and my very own laptop. My favorite thing was a stuffed kitty that she had. He has bells on his paws and sings "Holly Jolly Christmas." Grandma let me take him home too because I like him so much. She also let me have my very first cookie. Mommy and Daddy have really been holding out on me, because that was good. I cried a little when it was all gone.

Finally, that afternoon we went to Aunt Gigi's house. We ate lots of yummy food and I got to see my cousins, Chelsea, Chad, Austin, Tatan and Lexi. They are a lot of fun to play with. I thought that surely I didn't have any more presents to open, but I did! I got a school bus, some drums, a talking ball and more clothes. We went home that night and I crashed. I was exhausted from all we had done that day and fell fast asleep dreaming about all my toys.

I just can't believe all the cool stuff I got for Christmas! I am so lucky to get all of these nice things from my family and Santa. Mommy and Daddy say that our house has become one giant toy box, but I say that I was obviously just a very good boy this past year. I can't wait until next Christmas! This is for sure the best holiday ever!
